Data Deletion

This page explains how to unlink your Facebook / Instagram account from ShopYA and how to delete the data we obtained from Meta. You can do it in three ways: from ShopYA, from Facebook, or by email.

1. Sign in to the ShopYA seller dashboard.
2. Go to your shop → Social networks (Redes sociales).
3. Click "Unlink and delete my Meta data" (Desvincular y borrar mis datos de Meta) and confirm.

Access tokens are deleted immediately and the Page and Instagram data and post IDs are deleted or anonymized. If you only want to stop publishing without deleting the history, you can use "Unlink".

1. On Facebook, go to Settings & privacy → Settings.
2. Open Security / "Apps and websites" and also "Business integrations".
3. Find ShopYA and click Remove.

When you remove the app, Facebook automatically sends us a data deletion request and gives you a confirmation code. With that code you can check the status of your request at /data-deletion/status (adding ?code=YOUR_CODE).

Email us at [email protected] from the address associated with your account, stating that you want to delete your Meta data (or your ShopYA account). We will respond and complete the request within a reasonable period (generally within 30 days). We may ask you to verify your identity.

We delete or anonymize:

• Your Facebook user ID and name obtained from Meta.
• User and Page access tokens.
• The data of the linked Facebook Pages and Instagram accounts (IDs, names, @username, picture URLs).
• The IDs, permalinks and statuses of the posts made.
• Image copies created for publishing, which are in any case deleted 7 days after publishing.

What remains:

• Posts already published on Facebook or Instagram remain on Meta; you can delete them from your Page or Instagram account.
• Your ShopYA account data (orders, shop data, etc.) that does not come from Meta, unless you also request closing your account. Some data may be kept for as long as the law requires.

If you have a confirmation code from Facebook, check the status of your request at /data-deletion/status. The possible statuses are: Received, In progress and Completed.
